Development
of a “blue print” for successful implant restoration was presented using
several clinical cases.
Speaker
2: Peter Moy,
DDS, Oral Surgeon, Brentwood CA. Director of Strauman UCLA implant Center.
KN and
PM joined effort for the next section demonstrated efficient coordination
between the surgery and restorative teams required for ideal implant treatment
outcome.
After
establishment of a restorative plan, the patient consults the surgeon.
Additional diagnostic aids may be required. A team conference follows and
validates the findings. Prosthetic templates are developed. Other dental
specialties may be involved if needed.
Example
of complex treatment plan using distraction osteogenesis was presented as an
illustration of the team effort.
Speaker 3: Kenneth Hinds, DDS Laguna Niguel, CA.
Immediate
Loading of single tooth molars and incisors. Numerous case reports not all
related to the title, were presented using outstanding electronic techniques.
Subjects such as custom abutments or orthodontic extrusion were covered. More
than one implant system was used to support the presentation.
